Inspired by the Japanese tradition of chawan, these bowls explore the tension between symmetry and organic irregularity. Geometric patterns emerge and dissolve into texture. Made to be used daily — to develop a patina of memory through repeated handling.

A tea bowl is the shape most directly answerable to the hand. It has to sit in two palms, hold heat without burning, and give the thumb something to find. Everything else — the crust, the crawl, the way a glaze breaks over a rim — happens around that requirement.
